The project develops 9 housing units within a very dense urban block, reusing the existing basement to limit excavation works and reduce costs. A simple volume is carved out to create a through entrance porch and southeast-oriented loggias, providing light, views, and passive climate protection. More than half of the plot is made permeable through a sunken garden, visible from the street and directly accessible, extending the public space.

The staircase, positioned on the street façade, becomes an active element of the building and supports interactions between residents. A column–beam structural system allows for a high degree of flexibility (PMR units, temporary housing, future transformations), while the project prioritizes rational construction methods, reuse of bricks, and a robust material palette of concrete and calcium silicate to ensure durability, acoustic comfort, and cost control.
