Competition for the complete renovation of a CPAS house
This project transforms a narrow workers’ house, only 3.30 m wide, into a two-bedroom single-family dwelling within a highly constrained volume. The design is structured around alternating split levels that maximise spatial efficiency: the kitchen faces the street, a bedroom occupies the upper level, while the living space is set at garden level in direct relation to the outdoor area, with the bathroom and second bedroom stacked above. A central stair, perpendicular to the party wall, distributes all spaces and brings daylight deep into the house. Through these simple principles, the spaces remain open, interconnected and bright, supported by discreet technical solutions.
